The Resurrection of Gavin Stone
Gavin Stone, a washed-up former child star, is forced to do community service at a local megachurch and pretends to be a Christian so he can land the part of Jesus in their annual Passion Play. But by experiencing the uncommon community of church and learning more about Christ by playing the role, his life is changed forever.
The Two Thieves
Their fate was identical: death. Their view of themselves radically different. One, a lifelong criminal and a rebel against the Roman occupation, is resigned to his execution. The other, a lifelong rabbinical student and peacemaker, refuses to accept the judgment he faces. As their history is revealed, these two Jewish prisoners lead viewers to uncommon grace and a chance at redemption. The second short film from Vertical Church Films (The Ride), The Two Thieves, will grip your heart with an intriguing perspective never before captured on film.
A picture of true hope is about to be revealed—to those who aren’t even looking for it.
It’s Christmas Eve in the suburbs of Chicago and a bored, disengaged taxi driver reluctantly accepts one more pickup. He soon realizes his passenger is troubled and prolongs the ride in an uncharacteristic attempt to connect and help. As the night progresses, grace invades the hearts of both the comfortable and the desolate.
